Innovative Tower Systems for Maximised Growth
Our vertical Aeroponic and hydroponic grow tower systems in the greenhouses will be 3m high, each housing 60 plants in a 1. 2sq.m – 1. 6sq.m space.
The benefits of using our towers include:
No soil is needed - Land degradation is a significant issue in agriculture, causing soil to become less nutrient-rich and less suitable for growing healthy crops. Physical and chemical degradation, caused by farming equipment and pollution, contribute to this problem. Using aeroponic and hydroponic towers can help slow degradation in our area.
Â
Conserves water - Water conservation is crucial, and aeroponic and hydroponic systems, use significantly less water than traditional methods. They eliminate evaporation and with proper filtration and treatment through our reverse osmosis plant maintain pure water for crop use.
Â
Predictability and seasonality - offer year-round increased crop yields.
Â
Vertical growth maximises space usage.
Â
Crops grow faster – Aeroponic and hydroponic technology offers faster crop harvesting due to optimal growing conditions, particularly in green leafy vegetables, herbs, and strawberries, hence the reason for our initial crop selection.
Â
Higher yield - Global food shortages are a common issue, and our aeroponic and hydroponic greenhouse systems will allow us to produce healthy food faster and with higher yields. The result of minimising pests and contamination is higher yields and a more predictable food supply.
Â
Requires less labour - Soil-based farming is very labour-intensive and can be mechanised, but harvesting delicate crops still requires human labour. Our aeroponic and hydroponic greenhouse systems will ensure workers are not exposed to harmful chemicals and other elements.
Â
Quality – Crops are fresher and healthier than traditionally soil-grown crops, offering higher-quality crops due to semi-controlled environments, balanced nutrients, and proximity to consumption areas.
